I have a different layout on my device. Just that colored bar on top. Which doesn't have a lot of features as of now. Can't find the sticky buttons.

circled in red, why do we even need the items highlighted in blue?

what do they bring into the mobile interface which (in my opinion) by definition needs to be minimalist?
(the above is actually a genuine question on the UI decision making process that sought to add these)

none the less ... give it a while and see what others think.

That's the android app, isn't it? Try the mobile website. That's where they appear.

I personally like the new buttons. They don't obscure anything in my device. If the post button is behind the new buttons, just scroll down!

Ok, I'm confused now. My iPhone only shows the buttons at the bottom in portrait view and shows not 4 but 5 buttons. Explain please.
Hi Kelly, yes, it is now 5 buttons. Progress or feature creep depending on how you see things.

It is intentionally only shown when the display is narrow because that's where you lose the links at the top of the screen. Also, vertical real estate is at a premium with a phone in horizontal view, so a row of buttons at the bottom doesn't work well.

If you prefer to get rid of the buttons altogether, choose "No" for the mobile bar question in preferences: https://www.mu-43.com/account/preferences

I like the buttons, although I would also be fine with them only visible after scrolling to the top or bottom of the pages.

They do appear while writing a post, which does take away screen space:

And one persons bug is anothers feature. My answer is always if it is documented it is a feature (by definition). The other sad truth is that most apps reach a level of complexity where no one really knows how all the myriad of settings work. I'm glad to see Amin is following these two maxims!

Those are the buttons!

You can disable them in preferences if you don't like 'em. They are called the mobile bar.

They don't go away in the app, though, regardless of settings.
