I was looking for a wide angle lens solution for my OMD EM10 mark II, and I ended up with the Panny as it is the smallest among the other choices, mainly the Oly 7-14mm 2.8 and the Panasonic 8-18mm. While I would like to have a 2.8 option, I think the 4.0 doesn't disappoint.

In good light, the images came out sharp and crisp.

The Oly EM10's color science does the job. Everything looked natural and pleasing to the eye.

Indoors and under strong artificial light, the Panasonic 7-14mm also did quite well...

I also tried long-exposure shots using a tripod. Manual mode was used and multiple exposures were taken

. The Panasonic again did not disappoint.

The only weakness is the 4.0, but depending on how you would use it, I don't think it is much of a handicap.

Here's a weakness of Panasonic 7-14mmf4.0 on an E-M1 Mk II.
