Thanks! The sugarbag bees are a real pain in the arse to shoot (quite a lot of ants are bigger and slower moving) but you just keep blasting away at them and eventually you get something. Their carrying capacity is pretty amazing also, the pollen baskets are full to a point where they're bigger than the bee's own head.

Ah, that makes sense then, as I think your 'bee' may actually be a soldier fly, Stratiomys longicornis - not that this detracts from the beauty of the beast, nor the skill of the photographer, I can assure you!!
